In the Philippines, Laureece hires a professional staff and
uses only
skilled traditional coconut farmers. Each worker is trained,
and educated about the scientific way of making traditional virgin
coconut oil (VCO).
Because, of Dr. Jader-Onate's background, the sterilization
procedures used by Laureece employees is patterned after medical
procedures.
As coconut handlers, they wear a head cap, apron, and hand
gloves. There is no direct contact by hand with the grated
coconuts, as others may do. We use only a stainless scooping cup
when putting the grated coconut into a press machine (as you can
tell by looking at some of the
photos
from the process).
Grated coconuts are not pressed by hand but are pressed in a
stainless pressed machine. We ensure that all equipment and
materials being used in the making of VCO are sterilized.
This ensures that Laureece VCO is not contaminated by any foreign
bodies and microbes, such as bacteria and fungus. As a result, our
microbial analysis is negative for any microbes.
Low heat in VCO is not only for the purpose of separating oil
from the curds but also for sterilization, to ensure that we
deliver the most hygienic oil possible. Be assured that low heat
does not affect or destroy any nutrients in VCO, as the oil is
highly stable.
We are not only concerned with sanitary procedures, but also we
ensure that our handlers follow strict personal hygiene. VCO is so
delicate that any impurities from the environment will destroy it’s
quality. One of the secrets of producing good VCO is a clean
environment.
So, how we differ from other makers of coconut oil? We at
Laureece personally, patiently and meticulously make it for you -
the purest virgin coconut oil on earth!
