Eighty percent of the coconut farmers in the Philippines are poor. Most of them work on farms belonging to the owners of the coconut trees. Even the coconut owners themselves are not rich, as others may think. I myself come from a family of coconut farmers.

Not many years ago, my family, including our workers, did not earn much from coconuts because of low markets. Filipino families desire to be out of poverty, as Filipinos by nature are hardworking, quick to learn, self sacrificing, and seek to meet their family's needs.

Education is one of the solutions that many Filipinos see as an answer to poverty. Each family desires that their children finish college in order for them to have a brighter future. Our coconut farmers have this motivation in their hearts - to work hard for the education of their children so that the next generation will not experience the same hardship of life.

The coconut farmers who work for the Laureece Company, while coming from poor backgrounds, are rich in knowledge when it comes to coconuts. Adding to their traditional knowledge, we have carefully trained them in the scientific way of making virgin coconut oil. Our main goal is to have quality virgin coconut oil produced by our farmers, with the hope of giving them a brighter financial future.

It is our vision to promote health in every part of the earth, improve the quality of life (health wise) of everyone, and at the same time improve the quality of life of Filipino farmers by alleviating their poverty.

To reach our goal without sacrificing the quality of our product, the Laureece Company provides free seminars, training,  supervision, equipment and materials to our coconut farmers. Our experts buy directly  matured coconuts from the organic farms operated by our farmers. We pay the farmers for every liter they produce. We give incentives and benefits, and we treat them as part of the company and our family.
