Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO)
and Diabetes
Most adults who suffer from diabetes have what
is known as "Type II Diabetes." In this disease,
the pancreas can still produce enough insulin; however, the cells
in the body are unable to absorb it. Diet plays a key role
in the treatment and prevention of this type of diabetes.
Doctors typically prescribe a low-fat diet for
their diabetic patients. This is helpful in part because it
can help some patients lose weight, which is a risk factor for
diabetes. More importantly, there are some fats that not
only make diabetes worse, but can actually cause diabetes!
Studies have shown that polyunsaturated fats,
such as those found in refined vegetable seed oil, can inhibit
body cells from absorbing insulin.
But there is one fat that diabetics (or
borderline diabetics) can and should eat - coconut oil!
Studies have shown that VCO improves insulin secretion by the
pancreas and the body's cells ability to utilize blood
glucose. This is due in part because VCO helps to supply
energy to the cells as it is easily absorbed rather than stored in
fat tissues like other oils.
Dr. Jader-Onate currently has fifty diabetic
patients under her care. When they first came to her, their
fasting blood sugar averaged 400 - 200. After regularly
taking Laureece VCO, their blood sugar is now controlled at 110 -
140.
So, our clinical studies confirm what other
studies have shown!

Obesity and Diabetes
Obesity is often a result of a
slowdown in your metabolism. This reduction of your
metabolic rate also slows down your body's cells ability to
absorb insulin that is produced by your pancreas.
